From the Pastor's desk:
July is going to be another great month for Main Street. We have many
opportunities for ministry, including our 4th of July Pic Nic, Dillon County’s
first regular Salkehatchie camp and of course, VBS will be a BIG event. There
are many ways to support these and other ministries, of course, prayer is
always at the top of the list.
Worship themes will be from the Old Testament book of Daniel. Sermon
topics will be: “Youth in Exile”, “A Misguided Government”, “The Heart of
Prayer”, and “The Fantastic Journey.” I hope each member and friend of
Main Street will make plans to be in church each Sunday. The music is
ALWAYS great, and Robin has benn “cooking up” some specials from Lake
Junaluska.
Most of you are aware that I was reappointed for 2008-9. This is my 36th
newsletter. The one consistent element in each has been prayer. Beth and I
love the members of Main Street and we know you pray for us as we pray for
you. Thank you for the opportunity to serve another year.
